IP Network EngineerLocation: Dallas, TX (Onsite from Day 1)Client: DishCisco experience is mandatoryThe Transport Provisioning Department is responsible for Client's network provisioning, circuit design, inventory management, and number procurement activities. The Senior Transport position will be responsible for the circuit order submission, ASR ordering, managing orders of multiple vendors through their respective portals and managing the department's standards and procedures of all Transport tools and systems supporting Client's transport service deliveryDay-to-day job responsibilities:Participate in evaluation, testing, selection, and deployment of foundational network elements for a nationwide greenfield network buildoutEnsure that solutions adhere to defined standards and best practices and/or assist in the development of these standards and best practices.Research, analyze, test, retest, and troubleshoot complex problemsAble to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with strict deadlines, both as an individual contributor and team playerParticipate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing while staying abreast of new technology/technical areasCoordinate ordering and implementation of transport between vendors and deployment teamsManage and maintain an inventory of active transport services including NNIs and XCsManage escalations and expedite with vendors to ensure timely service deliveryCoordinate input of network data into industry databases and associated reportingAddress issues and questions from implementation and operations groupsAssist with vendor relations and communicationsTrack metrics and work with different vendors to ensure SLA complianceAssist in resolving cell site router configuration issuesAbility to lead a call Grooming circuit from one router to anotherSkills, Experience and RequirementsBachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience13+ years in the Telecom industryLong/Mid haul, NNI provisioning and testingTelecom vendor management experienceGood understanding of data and voice network architectureAdvanced understanding of telecom ordering processesExperience with Microsoft Office and Google SuiteAbility to identify and understand complex problems/issues and develop solutionsAbility to manage multiple commitments simultaneouslyExcellent attention to detailsOutstanding organizational and analytical skillsExcellent customer service skillsAble to work independently and inside a teamUnderstanding of Cisco routing commandsProfessional networking certifications is must - CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalentExfo Circuit testing experience
